April 7-13 Florence Cocktail Week 2025

For one week, the city of Florence will be completely immersed in the art of cocktails, that’s Florence Cocktail Week 2025 (FCW25). From April 7 to 13, 2025, more than 60 bars from across Tuscany will come together for this highly anticipated event, drawing in cocktail enthusiasts and industry professionals alike.

The mastermind behind this event is Paola Mencarelli, a driving force in Italy’s cocktail culture. Her initiative, Italian Cocktail Weeks (ICW), extends beyond Florence, hosting similar events in Venice, Cortina, Amalfi, and more. But Florence Cocktail Week stands at the heart of it all, celebrating its 8th edition this year.

More Than Just Another Cocktail Event, Here’s What Makes FCW25 Special

FCW25 isn’t just about great drinks. It’s an immersive experience packed with guest bartender performances, masterclasses, tasting sessions, and curated experiences that take place from brunch to the late-night shift. Here are some of the highlights you won’t want to miss:

1. Barkeeper FCW25 – Celebrating Resident Bartenders

This new initiative shines the spotlight on local resident bartenders, giving them a well-deserved platform to showcase their talent. Guests can experience their signature cocktails firsthand and truly appreciate their craftsmanship.

2. Young Guest Bartender – The Rising Stars of the Industry

Talented young bartenders, aged 25 and under, will have the unique opportunity to work guest shifts at FCW25’s participating bars. This is their chance to share the stage with top bartenders and make a name for themselves in the industry.

3. ICW Reunion – Bringing Italy’s Cocktail Culture to Florence

Didn’t get a chance to visit Venice Cocktail Week or Amalfi Coast Cocktail Week? No problem, some of their most popular pop-up bars are making their way to Florence for FCW25, offering a rare opportunity to experience these celebrated venues in one place.

4. Wellness Meets Cocktails - A New Way to Drink

With the growing focus on well-being, FCW25 is introducing health-conscious drinking initiatives:

• Alcohol content labeling will help guests make informed choices about their drinks.
• A selection of Low ABV (low-alcohol) and non-alcoholic cocktails will be featured as part of the Wellness Signature Cocktail menu.
• On April 8, bartenders can take part in “Wellness Time - Reset Body & Spirit,” a special yoga and fitness event designed to help them recharge.

The World’s Top Bartenders Are Coming to Florence

One of the most exciting aspects of FCW25 is the lineup of internationally renowned bartenders taking over guest shifts. Legendary names like Salvatore Calabrese and South African cocktail icon Julian Short will be there, crafting unique cocktails exclusively for the event. It’s a rare chance to watch, and taste, cocktail artistry at its finest.

Explore Florence’s Historic Cocktail Scene

Due to popular demand, last year’s Historic Café Tour is making a comeback! The tour will conclude at Caffè Gilli 1733, the oldest café in Florence, where guests can sip on an authentic Negroni while learning about the city’s rich cocktail heritage.

SHAKE YOUR IDENTITY: A Workshop on Creativity & Personal Branding

A special project close to Paola Mencarelli’s heart, this exclusive workshop is designed to help bartenders develop their careers. Led by brand designer Ilaria Legato and ICW Head of PR & Communication Beatrice Mencattini, this premium session will cover:
